Big Mama's Karaoke Cafe

On Saturday night a big group from the singles branch went to a Karaoke Cafe. Only in Tennessee will you find a "Big Mama's" Karaoke Cafe. This is a bunch of us girls and Brock singing "I Will Survive"

I sang "No Air" by Jordan Sparks. I love these next 2 pictures because I go from looking cute and kind of shy to....

Rocking out. I think I have been tagged as being shy a lot because I am quiet, but let me tell you I'm not shy. I actually love getting up in front of people. They say it's the quiet ones you have to look out for....haha..All of my friends actually think I'm good at dancing. They crack me up.

We are all singing too each other. I would say cute, but I don't think we actually look cute in this picture. I think special is a better word choice.

Rachel, Jon, Kristine, and Me.

Megan, Amber, Kristine, Me, and Jenny.

Mandi, Jordan, Me, and Melissa

I should've gotten a group picture but I didn't. I love the Knoxville YSA branch. Karaoke is fun, I think everyone should try it atleast once in their lifetime.

Halloween Weekend

On Friday there was a multi-stake young single adult(YSA) in McMinnville. I took a group down from the Knoxville singles ward. It was a lot of fun. I got to be with my new friends, and see a bunch of old friends from McMinnville. Some I haven't seen in years.

I'm and Dora the Explorer and I think Mandi is a teacher.

This is Rachel the fairy. She's also going to be my roommate this coming winter semester. Behind me on the right is Melissa. She is a yearbook photo. I thought that was clever.

Me, Jenny, and Mandi

After the dance was over we went to the lake house. Some of us decided to go for a midnight swim. When we got to the dock we realized that there was about 30 feet of mud to go through before we even got the the water. The mud was knee deep. The water was freezing!! but after we got used to it, it felt really warm.

Rachel and Megan had enough.

Me, Peter, and Jon went back for more.

Since you can't tell in the pictures from the night...

this is what we went through to get to the water. Was it worth it? Absolutely.

We headed back to Knoxville on Saturday afternoon. The Knoxville stake was putting on a YSA activity Saturday night.

Sorry I don't have more pictures.
Needless to say, I had an awesome Halloween. I'm grateful that I had a great group of friends to share it with.

September

I love being home, every minute of it!! I have been working at Fazoli's (an Italian casual/fast food restaurant that I worked at in high school) and I recently started working at an assisted living center. Which I love. The hours can get a little crazy but I still enjoy it. Besides working I have enjoyed the company of family, and friends(new and old). The singles ward here is great. For a while I was doing something fun almost every night of the week but since I am working a lot more now that is no longer the case. I know I have been slacking on my blog, but that is okay. I'm over it, I hope you are too haha.

Since I have been home I have done a lot of fun things like I mentioned before I have been getting acquainted with the singles ward, that includes institute which I love. The institute teacher is also the CES coordinator for the area, he works with the seminary too so I got to work with him in high school, he's great. I have gotten much needed rest, since I haven't had a real break since before my senior year of high school. I have enjoyed a few Father/Daughter dates. On the first one we went out on the jet ski's. It was so much fun. Dad and I were just playing around for a bit, then Dad wasn't paying much attention and he ran into me. I saw it coming and tried to stop so he would pass but he side swiped me. Neither of us were hurt, and we didn't fall off or anything. We just laughed and kept on going. I'm sure that those of you who know Dad are shocked that he crashed into me. I also did a little bit of knee boarding. It has been way too long since I'd been able to.

We spent Labor Day weekend at the lake house. We invited some friends, and Aaron & Haley were there too.

Me and My friends were basically on the jet ski's all weekend.

I babysat Emma and the twins on Monday morning so Aaron and Haley could go on an early bird run on the boat while the water was still glassy.

We celebrated my 19th Birthday. This is the birthday cake they bought me.

I thought this was super cute.

This is the birthday treat that I chose. We ended up making this on Sunday afternoon after church. This is my friend Katie, we did the design.

The weekend after Labor Day we went down to Nashville for a temple trip. We didn't have a very big group, but here is a group picture.

Me with Michelle, and Afton.

My friend Tara got married at the end of September. This is her bachelorette party, and just because we are drinking out of martini glasses does not mean we were drinking alcohol.

Although some of us may look like it in this picture.

So, that's the update. I'm happy, healthy, and grateful to be alive.

School's Out

I know this is a long time coming...My semester ended more than a month ago at BYU-I. School got out on Thursday. Saturday I went to my cousin Jenna's wedding. I caught the bouquet. I do not believe in the wives tale that whoever catches the bouquet gets married next or else I wouldn't have caught it.

The Monday after school got out Kathy and I started an intensive CNA(Certified Nursing Assistant) program. It consisted of five 10 hour days of class the first week, and four 8 hour days of clinical type stuff the second week. It was crazy, but now it is over and we are CNA's.

We had a Hale family reunion on the last weekend of July. It was a nice break to take in the middle of the CNA course. We went up to the church Young Women camp above Heber City, and had a camp site with a few cabins. On Saturday we went canoeing and did a ropes course. It was so good to see everyone. I was sad it didn't last longer. Sorry I don't have any pictures.

This is Kathy, Me, and our cousin Katie at the top of the Snowbird ski resort.

We got to spend a lot of time with David in Salt Lake.

David loves to climb people like he is a monkey on a tree. He's pretty good at it. Awesome balance.

We went to an institute dance up at the University of Utah.

When got home to Tennessee Julia asked me to give her a hair cut. As far as she is concerned I am her personal hairstylist. She thinks I am one of the most fashionable people she knows. haha funny isn't it?

Before

After. I have to say this is my best one yet. It's not too bad, especially since I have zero training on how to cut hair.

Sibling Reunion 2009

It has been 3 1/2 years since all 7 siblings have been together all at once. Since then we have had 1 wedding, 5 new nieces and nephews, and a mission. We all made it to the lake house in Tennessee for the week of July 4th! I didn't mean for this post to be so long, but I had more than a thousand pictures to choose from, so consider this the condensed version.

The Dock
The lake house.
The sunset on the river.

All of the Hale boys

Taking Grace out for a ride on a jet ski
Me and Emma
Brooklynn and Emma
Lake house at night. You can see that we were shooting fireworks off the deck.
We caught many fireflies. I don't have a picture of one actually light up, but that's what Grace is holding.
Brooklynn, William, and Jonathan were born 13 days apart.
Janel, Kathy, and Me with the babies
On Friday we went to the Hitchcock's farm (Haley's Family). Haley's Dad turned the old grain silo on the right into a repelling wall, and the silo on the left into a rock wall. David holds the record on the rock wall, making it from the bottom to the top in 29 seconds.
Friday was also David and Haley's birthday.
Me, Aaron, and Kathy
We just love Aaron so much!!

The 6 cutest kids in the world (no bias)
The three little kids (not so little anymore)

I thought this was adorable. Grace and Emma are buddies.
