June

I have done a lot of fun things this month, but I have no pictures to show for it. Sorry!

I have taken 2 trips to Utah. One just to visit with Grandma and Grandpa Hale, and some cousins. It was a nice, fun, and laid back weekend.

The next weekend we had our annual Hale Family Reunion. We had it in Paradise Utah this year. It is always fun to get around the family, and catch up. There were tons of pictures taken, I just don't have any of them. David, Kathy, and Me had to leave a day early to come back to school. I did not want to leave. Especially since it seems like family reunions are too short to begin with.

This week I got to see Brian Regan Live. He is one fun guy, and all the material was new except for the encore, we requested to see some of his old stuff. If you ever get the chance to see him, I say do it, and if you don't know who he is check him out on youtube!!!
On Friday night my roommates and I went to the outdoor classic movies, on one of the lawns. The showed "Harvey". It is a dollar for admission, and you get unlimited free popcorn.

On Saturday there was an Epic Water Fight at the park. Just imaged a couple hundred college students split into 2 teams, charging each other with any and every "none harmful" water weapon. It's every child's dream, and there are a few guys that made it happen for all of us. Thanks to them! haha

The best part about the last couple weeks is that it is FINALLY summer weather. Just this week I went to the lake 4 times. Yes, FOUR!! I live to be outside in the water!! And since the weather has warmed up I have gotten pretty anxious for the semester to end. I am ready for my summer fun. Let me tell you it is no fun to be inside studying while the weather is perfect for any and every outdoor activity. Only 3 1/2 weeks left, then its home to Tennessee where my real summer fun awaits!!

Look Out Odgen!!!

HERE SHE COMES!!!! in espaƱol!!!

Yup! Kathy got her mission call to Ogden Utah, and she couldn't be more excited!!!This Tennessee girl (I use that term lightly when referring to Kathy) couldn't have been called closer to home even if she got called to Tennessee. I think it is rather hilarious. Mostly because the only place I wouldn't want to serve a mission is Utah. I'd say that maybe 70% of our extended family lives in the Ogden mission with another 20% within an hour drive. So crazy. Surely she will experience Utah in a way she has never dreamed of before. I hear missionaries there are treated like royalty. (maybe it's a rumor...doubt it)

I am really truly excited for Kathy. I know she is going to love it, and Utah is her favorite state. Plus she gets to learn Spanish. That's all she really wanted. My guess is after her mission she's going to marry a Utah boy and live their forever.

Good luck Kathy. You'll have the time of your life, and your going to be an awesome missionary!!

Fast Grad

For those of you who didn't know, I have been accepted for fast grad which means I will be in school every semester until I graduate. Which is 5 more semesters. It should be less but I took a few detours with my major. I don't feel too bad about it because I will still be 21 when I graduate.

I am pretty excited to do fast grad, but I am concerned about getting burned out. It is pretty much inevitable. It shouldn't be too bad though. I will have 3 semesters of full credit loads, them a semester with 8 credits (at least that is what my grad plan tells me), then I will student teach, and be done! YAY!!

Some people think that I am crazy for wanting to get through school so fast, especially since I am so young. The fact of the matter is that I am coming to the end of my 3rd year of college, and I have 5 semesters left. Do the math, it's going to take me 11 semesters by the time I am done. I have also come to the conclusion that I get bored when I am not being pushed. Sure it would have been fun to go home and work for the Fall, but where is the challenge in that? School is fun too, I love all of the fun things I have going on here.

So for now I'm going to enjoy what is left of the summer semester ( 3 math classes and all), and then head home for 7 weeks for a break before I dive into the fall semester.

Moose Spring Lodge

For memorial day weekend I went to a cabin in the tiny town of Oxford Idaho. It was me Kathy, and four other girls. The weekend consisted of playing games, sponge curlers (you know they bring back good memories), laughing (so hard your abs hurt), exploring the mountain, exploring Preston Idaho, finding some treasures at the DI in Preston, picnics, s'mores, swimming at Downata Hot Springs, star gazing, cows, lots of pictures, and so much more. It was just what I needed in the middle of a semester.

This is us jumping into the weekend (so cheesy. I know, but it just seemed so fitting). This was when we got there on Friday night. We went exploring as soon as we got there because the sun was setting.
Megan and I with our sponge curlers. The cabin we stayed at was Megan's Family cabin. It was so nice of them to let us stay there. I didn't know Megan too well before this trip. She is one fun person to be around.
On Saturday we went down to Preston, ID. Some of you may know of Preston from "Napolean Dynamite". This is in the DI. I wanted to buy this shirt, but I didn't. We did buy some treasures to go swimming in because none of us brought swim suits and we wanted to go to Downata Hotsprings.

This is after swimming in the hot springs. Lizzie (on the far left) wins the award for most entertaining. I'm not sure why but as her swimming shorts she chose shorts that were made out of a sweatshirt material. Anytime she went down a slide she would come to a complete stop in the middle of the slide. She would then only make it to the bottom of the slide by scooting the rest of the way. The rest of us had shorts that were made out of more slick material so we would go shooting down the slide. The first time down the slide, Kathy went right after Lizzie. She ran straight into her.

Star gazing

All of the girls. Addie, Megan, Bailey, Lizzie, Me, and Kathy

I climbed to the top and jumped across but I haven't gotten those pictures from Megan yet.
