Night Hike

We took a hike to Look Rock Tower last night. It's in the Foothills of the Smokie Mountain. The picture of the tower looks kind of creepy, but it's a really awesome place to hike to. It has a 360 view of the smokies, and the surrounding area.
David, Megan, Me, and Jordan up at the top.

Other Fun

Kathy gave her farewell address in our home ward. Aaron and Haley came up with the kids and spent that Sunday with us. Looks like Jonathan wore Grandpa out.
Gotta love the trampoline. I love Adams face in this picture.

Me and Megan went for a hike and found this cute little guy.
Getting ready to play ultimate Frisbee at the worlds fair park.
In case you couldn't tell from the last 9 post I am staying busy with family and friends and thoroughly enjoying every minute of being home. I'm sad that the break is already coming to a close.

Karaoke

We had a fun singing the night away at Big Mama's Karaoke Cafe.

Biking Through Knoxville

Dad, David, Kathy, and I took a Saturday morning to ride one of the beautiful green ways in Knoxville. We took the one that goes through the University of Tennessee Campus and downtown Knoxville. I believe we rode about 10 miles round trip. It was a beautiful ride.

Oh no! Kathy crashed!! or not. I'm really sure why she chose to lay down in the middle of the parking lot with the bike on top of her. Silly Kathy.

Birthday Party

Megan's birthday is August 17 and mine is on September 5. We decided to a joint birthday party. We went to a local Japanese grill with a bunch of friends.
Jordan S., Jordan B., Steve, Michael, and Keith
Melissa, Megan, and Me
Chris, Maria, Kathy, and Jenny
They came out with a loud drum and sang happy birthday to us. They only brought out one hat, and they put it on Megan's head. She didn't want it so she passed it on.

We spent the rest of the night playing games and eating cake at my house. It was so much fun. I love my friends!!

Aaron and Haley's

We went to Aaron and Haley's house to spend some time with them and their kiddos.

This is what I call happiness...These cute twinners were fighting for my attention. It doesn't get much better than that. William, Me and Jonathan.

I asked Haley to give me a hair cut. She did an awesome job.
Emma and Kathy. What's not to love?

This was so stinking cute. He just came up and nuzzled (sp?) my nose.
Hahahaha Jonathan got me good. It was one of those you had to be there moments.

Dance/Rafting Trip

A few weeks ago we had a YSA dance followed by a rafting trip the next morning. Megan is the activities chairman so I got to help her set up.

As you can see we danced the night away.
Mary, Mandi, Me, Jenny, and Kathy.
The next morning we woke up at the CRACK of DaWn and drove through the beautiful smokies to the Nantahala River in North Carolina.
Andrew, Me, Kathy, and Jordan.
It was between 80 and 90 degrees outside, the water was about 46 degrees, and as soon as we got there it started pouring rain. It was AWESOME. There was a layer of fog just above the water so it felt like we were going through a tropical forest. So beautiful!! It was a great rafting trip.
Our raft consisted of (front to back) Kathy, Andrew, David, Megan, Me, and Jordan. Since we didn't have a guide this was pretty much the dream team for rafting. Some of the other rafts didn't have as good of luck.

A taste of the scenery that we saw all day long. Tennessee is SO BEAUTIFUL!!

On the way home we drove through the Dragon Tail which has 318 curves in 11 miles. A lot of motorcyclist like to ride it. If you get car sick easily I say avoid it like the plague.
This is at a look out along the dragon tail.
We also stopped to hike to what I call "The top of the world"
So basically it was a perfect Saturday, hanging out with David, Kathy, and friends enjoying the beauties of nature :)
