A few weeks ago we had a YSA dance followed by a rafting trip the next morning. Megan is the activities chairman so I got to help her set up.

As you can see we danced the night away.

Mary, Mandi, Me, Jenny, and Kathy.

The next morning we woke up at the CRACK of DaWn and drove through the beautiful smokies to the Nantahala River in North Carolina.
Andrew, Me, Kathy, and Jordan.

It was between 80 and 90 degrees outside, the water was about 46 degrees, and as soon as we got there it started pouring rain. It was AWESOME. There was a layer of fog just above the water so it felt like we were going through a tropical forest. So beautiful!! It was a great rafting trip.

Our raft consisted of (front to back) Kathy, Andrew, David, Megan, Me, and Jordan. Since we didn't have a guide this was pretty much the dream team for rafting. Some of the other rafts didn't have as good of luck.

A taste of the scenery that we saw all day long. Tennessee is SO BEAUTIFUL!!

On the way home we drove through the Dragon Tail which has 318 curves in 11 miles. A lot of motorcyclist like to ride it. If you get car sick easily I say avoid it like the plague.
This is at a look out along the dragon tail.

We also stopped to hike to what I call "The top of the world"

So basically it was a perfect Saturday, hanging out with David, Kathy, and friends enjoying the beauties of nature :)
